How do you find specific colors in Adobe Illustrator?

If someone gives you a specific number of a color you need to use, how do you easily find it? Also, what are the best swatches to use for logos and other printing? How do you find specific colors in Adobe Illustrator?
If someone has given you a Pantone reference you can find that in the swatch library under books 鈥撀爄f the number has a U after it you need the uncoated pantone swatches (C = coated). An RGB or CMYK reference can be mixed by yourself using the colour slider palettes, you can then save that to the swatch list by dragging the square of colour from the slider palette to the swatch list or by creating a new swatch in the swatch palette.

For a logo you will need, ideally, a cmyk version for colour print work, a black and white version for use on fax sheets or embossing, and rgb version to use on the internet and a spot colour version (normally Pantone) for use in specialised printing.
