I have a school assignment to vectorize a photo of my face in adobe illustrator. I seem to be having trouble grasping the concept of makingthe shadows that comprise my nose and generally, all of the shadows. Does anyone know of a good guide or tutorial that would help me successfully vectorize my face?Illustrator?
I really don't know much about Illustrator, but this site seems to have some helpful info about how to Vectorize an image. Hope it works!

well if you're using CS2 or above... go to image%26gt;live trace options%26gt;
mess with the options and it does it for ya babe! Report Abuse
Depends on what you want to achieve--do you want to just do a high contrast vectorization or a more detailed vectorization? Typically, I try to fix the photo in Photoshop first--getting it to a point so Illustrator can recognize lines and shapes better and then vectorize . If the tones are too close to each other on the photo, it would be tough to vectorize.
