What is the professionally accepted size for a logo in Adobe Illustrator?

This is not going to be used for print, but I need to send the original ai file to someone to show my work. Is there a standard size and format that I need to follow? Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks! What is the professionally accepted size for a logo in Adobe Illustrator?
As logos or corporate identities go there are many many standard sizes and file extentions to use. If it is only for a portfolio or samples, I would not go over 400 X 400 pixels. If it is for a customer, and you do not know (though you should) what the logo will be used for; web, clothing, letter head, so on... make it as big as you can, my base size is at 1000 X1000 pixels. Then the art work can always be reduced with out losing detail. just reduce it before sending or printing. And always remember to water mark any designs if they have not been bought. What is the professionally accepted size for a logo in Adobe Illustrator?
Since AI files generally refers to vector artwork, the art can be scaled to any size needed. If you've placed some photos in your art (or other non-vector art), be sure that it's scaled to your printers specs.
Illustrator files are vector files and it can be enlarge to any size, so don't worry about the size...
