What work experience will I need in order to become an illustrator?

The main careers I would like to follow are either business or law. But I would like to do some illustration work in my spare time.

How could I get started?

Ohhh I wanna do this as well. Well, I'd make a portfolio and get lots of practise in. =]What work experience will I need in order to become an illustrator?
Thanks for asking,

You probably need to build a 'Port Folio' from

illustrations you made, so that you can give an idea

about what your work looks like.

So you probably will need something that you can

use to show your illustrations in, that's easy to flip through

and is strong enough that it protects your illustrations.

All the Best,

if your talking drawing by hand, then a skill and possibly a degree in art

however if your talking computer illustration then skills using adobe illustrator and macromedia freehand and quite possibly a degree in graphic design
